Some Random Day at Hogwarts 2

It was another brand new day at Hogwarts.

Every Wednesday morning we had double charms. Professor Nut Sekhet would make us duel with each other using a set of charms for one hour and then would spend the next hour correcting us. We all really looked forward to this class every week.

Initially, she paired us with our classmates from Ravenclaw with whom we shared the class. Turned out that most of us Gryffindors were at disadvantage because these Ravenclaws apparently had nothing to do but practice the charms and their all-ready-get-set-go revisions were taking our winning a duel chances to zero. So now we were paired to our classmates from our own house so that we were decently matched. 

Today I was paired up with Richard Gimbal and he seemed disinclined to duel with me. Everyone knew that he had a crush on me and may be that was stopping him from casting a charm on me. After disarming him four times and hitting him with stun charm two times, I glared at him. Professor Sekhet too seemed to have observed this and came up and cast some mysterious non verbal charm on him and asked us to continue.

I raised my wand to cast impedimenta on him this time but he cast such a forceful shield charm that I was thrown off my balance. Spitting hair from my mouth I stood up to find him poised to shoot another charm and just in time ducked to escape his stun charm. I whirled around and cast a disarming charm and he deflected it. I kept shooting a stream of jinxes and he kept on deflecting. The whole class seemed to have stopped their own duels and were now watching me duel Richard. We were deflecting, shielding, ducking and shooting more hexes and charms and finally his expelliarmus hit me and my wand flew away. 

The whole class clapped and Richards seemed momentarily stunned at this. He looked around as though he just came to his senses and looked at his wand and then at me lying on the ground. His eyes filled with tears and he ran from the class sobbing about how he was never going to be able to get a girlfriend at Hogwarts ever again. 

Professor Sekhet sighed and asked us all to sit down and continued the class as usual.
